Mills started manufacturing slot machines in the 1880's. The early machines generally utilized a single betting wheel or playing cards as the basis of the machine. At the turn of the century Mills came out with the Operator Bell. This machine used 3 reels and is basically the same type of machine still used today. Mills made machines into the 1960's, until technology and competition caught up with them. Almost all Mills slot machines made after 1910 will have "Copywrite 1910" on the reels. Many people confuse this with the date of the machine, in almost every case it is not. While most slots Mills made do not have a name or date on them, by sending us a photo or referring to the examples above we can easily date the machine and model. Nations Attic is always interested in buying, but we also appraise, repair and restore vintage Mills slot machines as well.
