The most desirable leather jackets of WWII were made
for the Army Air Force. These jackets are called A-2 jackets due to the
nomenclature tag on the inside. This designated these type of jackets
model A-2. This tag is very important and will be found on the inside
lining directly under the color of the jacket.
Above are a few examples of what that tag looks like.
As you can see these tags are all black with gold lettering. They will all
have the TYPE A-2 on the top along with additional information below.
