1932 Watling Torch Front

A popular option with many machines is to have them restored externally and the mechanism tuned for proper play.

This machine had the castings buffed to a shine, handle and coin entry chrome platted, new award cards, oak cabinet refinished and the castings painted factory correct colors. The back door was repainted, new cabinet bolts installed and back coin entry lip re-plated. In addition, the Watling mechanism was adjusted for proper and smooth play.

The following two pages show the before and after transformation of this beautiful machine. If you have a slot machine in need of repair or restoration please contact Don Creekmore - owner of the Nations Attic at 316-371-1828 or slots@nationsattic.com

Every effort is made to restore machines back to factory original condition. When this machine came in it had been repainted just using flat red many years ago. It was also missing the jackpot glass and the old award cards were in bad shape.
As was originally done at the Watling factory, the castings were polished to a shine. Red and yellow paint was used in the correct areas. The glass was replaced along with the paper award cards. Overall the machine now has a bright vibrant appearance.

In addition to the castings, the oak cabinet is also restored. Giving it a proper authentic finish without losing patina the wood has acquired over time is very important.
In addition, details such as new cabinet bolts, platted handle and red cabinet trim were not overlooked.

If your antique slot machine needs its visual and mechanical spark put back into it - give me a call or email. I am happy to discuss with you the different options!
