Antique Appraisal Service
Probably the most common question we get is "how much is my antique worth"? People are also naturally curious about an items age, who made it and any other interesting and unique characteristics. With the unlimited number of different antiques in the world, we have chosen to specialize in several unique areas. Those are antique diving helmets & related equipment, antique coin operated devices such as slot machines, vintage advertising items, old magic posters from the 1860s to the 1940s and finally World War 2 flight jackets.
If you are considering selling a single item then having a proper and detailed appraisal will provide you with all the information needed to make an educated sale for the most money possible. Our appraisals will also include information such as when it was made, who made it, a condition report, notes on unique characteristics, how rare or common the antique is and if it is all original or has been restored. If you are listing the antique for sale online or locally, these details will greatly increase your chances of a sale and ensure you are getting a fair price for it.
If an appraisal is required for estate or insurance purposes, we can do that as well. These documents are called "replacement value appraisals". There is a difference between a "market value" appraisal and one needed for legal purposes.
To get started please email or text us photos of your item(s). From the photos we will then typically ask a few questions about the piece and possibly require additional photos.
Appraisals on a single item typically only take 1 to 2 business days and cost $45. You will be mailed the documents on our letterhead just like the example shown below.
